When What Is to Come Begins to Sink In

I hope you have enjoyed this journey so far. I think it tells us so much about the president and Barbara—their kindness, gentleness, integrity; their humor; their genuine devotion to friends, to family, and to faith; and of course, their joie de vivre.

But as 2016 gave way to 2017, it became clearer and clearer to those of us close to the president that this incredible story would someday come to its natural end. And so, my patient readers, let us turn the page and begin our journey toward the end that would end with a beginning.
